Webinar Recap: Using AI to detect refrigerant leaks early – without new sensors

**Oct 9, 2023 Update: Axiom Cloud complies with the EPA’s new requirements for “Automatic Leak Detection” (ALD) systems

I’ve been working on machine learning and artificial intelligence since 2010 with Danfoss, Emerson, and 4 of the world’s largest ML companies. And Axiom is the first one I’ve seen to really get this algorithm down pat.
— Robert Eidson, VP, CoolSys Energy

Robert Eidson (VP, CoolSys Energy) discusses the financial impacts of refrigerant leaks for stores.

Tom Mathews (SVP, CBES) discusses the efficacy of manual leak checks.

Fritz Troller (CEO, Therm) discusses the estimates of CO2 leaks across retail grocery.

Robert Eidson (VP, CoolSys) discusses the trials of manual leak detection practices

On August 31, Axiom Cloud hosted a webinar with experts from CBES, CoolSys, and Therm, with the goal to explore why AI is the future of leak detection. It was exciting to hear CoolSys and CityFM put aside their differences and endorse AI as the preferred solution for leak detection over traditional methods.

Discussion topics included:

  • Why are refrigerant leaks such an important topic?

  • What are the pros and cons of legacy leak detection methods?

  • Why is AI the future of leak detection?

  • How Axiom uses AI to enable better leak detection in hundreds of facilities today (no new sensors)

  • How early leak detection affects maintenance and profitability

  • How early leak detection affects GHG emissions and generates carbon credits
